Cleaning your jewelry in the tumbler with stainless steel shot is very effective. The only problem is that the shot sometimes gets stuck, and becomes difficult to get out. Viking Knit chains are especially susceptible to stuck shot problems, so here’s a suggestion for repurposing a common dental tool!

 

Oh… and this is the reason why you want to make sure you get all of the shot out BEFORE you photograph your pieces:
